Canoe group trip Rogen
Here you will find answers to most of your questions.
Frequently asked questions
Is this adventure suitable for me?
This canoe expedition is suitable for anyone who loves nature, adventure, and active outdoor activities. No previous canoeing experience is required. Our guides provide clear instructions and guidance. A basic level of fitness is required, however, as you will spend several hours on the water each day and carry your own luggage in the canoe.
Will I have phone reception in the area?
In Rogen, phone reception is limited to virtually non-existent. This means you will be largely offline during the canoe expedition. Our guides are prepared for emergencies and carry the necessary GPS communication devices to ensure the safety of the group. Bringing a power bank for your phone can be useful, but do not rely on having constant reception.
Can I join as a solo traveler?
Yes, this canoe expedition is very suitable for solo travelers. You’ll be part of a small group of fellow adventurers. During the trip, you’ll share a two-person canoe with another traveler.
For camping, however, you’ll have your own camping equipment, including a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and liner. This way, you can enjoy your own comfort and privacy during the overnight stays.
Can I bring my dog on this trip?
Yes, your dog is welcome to join the group trip, provided that they are kept on a leash at all times and do not cause any disturbance or disruption. We ask you to be considerate of nature, other participants, and the wildlife in the area.
How many participants are there?
The group size for this canoe expedition is between 6 and 14 participants.
The first and last night of the expedition, you’ll stay at the Funäs Ski Lodge in Funäsdalen, in a shared room.
During the canoe trip, you’ll spend all nights wild camping in the unspoiled nature of Rogen. For these overnight stays, we provide you with your own camping equipment, including a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and liner.
How much luggage can I bring?
It is important not to bring too much luggage, as everything needs to fit in the canoe. We recommend bringing a backpack of no more than 30 litres per person. Please keep in mind that we provide you with camping equipment (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and liner), which will also need to fit in the canoe.
How do I travel to Sweden?
Travel to Sweden is arranged independently and is not included in the price of the expedition.
Would you prefer not to travel alone? No problem! You can arrange to travel together with other participants. Well before departure, we’ll provide you with the participant list, so you can get in touch with others and make travel arrangements if you wish.
