You wake up in your tent by the water’s edge, with the morning mist still hanging over the lake. While you make your coffee, your dog explores the surroundings and drinks from the lake. You pack the canoe, your dog jumps into their familiar spot, and together you glide into the silence. All you hear is the rhythmic sound of the paddle and your dog’s gentle snoring… Until you stop at a small island for a lunch break. Maybe you take a refreshing swim while your dog waits happily on the shore. At the end of the day, you find another idyllic spot to set up camp. Pure freedom.

Preparing for Your Adventure

It’s important to be well prepared before setting off on your adventure. The Swedish authorities have a few requirements for bringing your dog to Sweden: your dog must be microchipped, have a valid rabies vaccination, and have an EU pet passport. When entering Sweden, you must declare that you are travelling with your dog to the Swedish Customs (Tullverket).
