During this five-day canoe week, you’ll head into the Swedish wilderness with a small group and an experienced guide. Canoeing, wild camping, bushcraft, and survival activities come together in an adventurous week where parents and children have plenty of quality time together.

You’ll paddle across Swedish lakes, set up camp together, and spend the night surrounded by nature. You’ll also learn practical skills, such as how to build a shelter using a tarp.

This option is ideal for families who:

• enjoy exploring with a guide;

• would like to travel with other parent-and-child pairs;

• enjoy meeting new people;

• want to take part in bushcraft and survival activities;

• want to experience an adventurous week without having to do much preparation themselves.

Self-Guided Canoe Holiday with Your Family

Would you like complete freedom and the flexibility to decide how you spend each day? Then a self-guided canoe holiday on Lake Sommen is a great choice.

After a briefing and paddling instruction in Dutch, you’ll set off on your own. You decide which route to take, choose a beautiful campsite along the way, and determine how many kilometres you want to paddle each day. The trip is completely flexible.

You’ll be provided with canoes, paddles, life jackets, waterproof barrels, a route map, cooking equipment, and camping chairs. Additional camping equipment can be added when making your reservation.

This option is ideal for families who:
